Born in Kaduna State, Nigeria, in 1975, Adeniyi Ekine was raised in a Christian family with heritage tracing back to Ijebu Ode, Ogun State (Southern Nigeria), and Ekinrin Adde, Kogi State (Northern Nigeria). He became a born-again Christian in 2000.

Education & Ordination: In 2002, he graduated from the Redeemed Christian Bible College (RCBC) and was ordained by Pastor E. A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Worldwide.
